For more than 25 years, Midwest Aircraft in Plainfield, Indiana, has provided precision machining, fabrication, and welding of prototype, short run, and production parts and tooling assemblies. Capabilities
With a long history of working to precise blueprint tolerances and tight deadlines, Midwest Aircraft machinists are trained and equipped to take on the most demanding projects. Equipment and capabilities include various sizes of manual and CNC lathes and mills, WEDM, precision jig grinding and boring, welding and brazing, and tube and sheet metal bending. Midwest also maintains relationships with multiple outside suppliers with whom we subcontract outside machining and special processes such as heat treatment, various types of plating, laser and waterjet cutting, laser marking, and many other services. Our highly trained and experienced inspectors verify product utilizing the latest technology, including a CMM capable of measuring parts 76.5” x 47.8” x 28.2”, to ensure that every part is made to customer requirements.
